by James E Wright PhD, Editor

This is an interesting negative ion study on the effect negative ions have on muscle recuperation. We now know that negative ion training has been used for years with olympic athletes. But can the average joe benefit from negative ion training in their home gym?  Should workout facilities utilize negative ion generators to help their customers archive better results?

Dr Wright examines negative ion therapy and muscle recuperation, health and performance effects, the dangers of positive ions, and touts the "Elantra" negative ionizer as the perfect negative ion generator.  The Elantra ionizer is an Australian built ionizer that is said to produce "tiny negative ions" that are somehow better than regular negative ions. However, the Russians achieved great performance enhancement with "regular" negative ion generators and as far as we know, a negative ion is a a negative ion unless unbiased scientific research proves otherwise.  We're waiting for the independent research to substantiate the Elantra ioniser claims actually. The rest of the article is worth reading however.
